The local arm of Mercedes-AMG has today announced pricing for its updated GLC 43 4Matic, now on sale in SUV and coupé form.
Kiwi customers can get their hands on the SUV variant for $151,900, while the coupé is offered from $157,900 without any optional extras ticked. Both are available online and from Mercedes-Benz dealerships nationwide as of today.
No matter which body style takes your fancy, all GLC 43 4Matics will come equipped with a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine under the bonnet, boosted by an electronically assisted turbocharger that helps generate a total system output of 310kW and 500Nm of torque.
Mated to the back of the lump up front is a nine-speed automatic gearbox that funnels power to all four wheels through an all-wheel drive system, and when translated to the road, the GLC 43 4Matic can hit 100km/h from a standstill in 4.8 seconds.
Other standard features include rear-axle steering, steel-sprung active suspension, four-piston brake calipers up front, an AMG exhaust system, and more.
As for the interior, the GLC 43 builds on what you’ll find in the GLC 300, including a multifunction steering wheel clad in Nappa leather, heated front seats, a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, wireless device connectivity and charging, and a suite of safety and driver assistance features such as active cruise control and lane keep assist.
The driver also gets an augmented reality display for navigation, while all other occupants inside are treated to a Burmester 3D surround sound system.
With regard to the exterior, the GLC 43 features adaptive headlights with high beam assist, an AMG styling package, a night package with black highlights, and 20-inch AMG alloy wheels. Other than its sweeping roofline, the coupé variant differs from its SUV counterpart thanks to its lack of roof rails.
