Starting this month, Kiwis will be able to catch all the action of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series on ThreeNow for free.
The news will be welcomed by many local motorsport fans as fellow countryman and three-time Supercars champion Shane van Gisbergen recently made the shift to the United States where he will be driving full-time in the Xfinity Series and a minimum of seven Cup Series races this year.
SVG will pilot the #97 Chevrolet Camaro of Kaulig Racing in the Cup Series, which kicks off at Circuit of the Americas on 25 March, before heading to Talladega Superspeedway on 22 April and 7 October.
The Kiwi will also take to Charlotte Motor Speedway on 27 May, the Chicago Street Race on 8 July, Watkins Glen on 16 September, and Las Vegas on 21 October.
“Awesome to hear the news that NASCAR will be shown on TV in NZ this year! It’ll be a few early Sunday and Monday mornings for the Kiwi fans but hopefully I can do my best to make it worth it,” says van Gisbergen.
Coverage of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series kicks off on Monday, 5 February at 1 pm, while the Xfinity Series will commence on Sunday, 18 February at 10:30 am.
Highlights of both series will also be aired each Sunday on CRC Motorsport on Three and ThreeNow.
