Chinese bike maker CF Moto has a new distributor in Australia and New Zealand, Mojo Motorcycles and, as mentioned a month ago, is kicking things off with the new 700 CL-X Sport that costs $10,900 plus ORCs. See here https://www.autocar.co.nz/cfmoto-700cl-x-sport-arriving-soon/
Following close on its heels is a pair of 800MT adventure sport machines, powered by a KTM 799cc parallel twin. They’re expected to dot down in the new year. The Austrian-based company KTM has a technology tie up with CF Moto.
As mentioned, two versions will be on offer, the Sport costing $13,490 in New Zealand before ORCs while the better specified 800MT Touring will cost $1000 more.
The CF Moto 800MT family features include a seven-inch TFT screen, dual ride modes, a slipper clutch, cruise control, radial ABS brakes by J.Juan, fully adjustable KYB suspension, a height-adjustable screen, riding lights, USB charging, LED headlights and turn signals, and a three-year warranty.
Wheels are 19 inches up front, 17 on the rear, for a mix of road and off-road work. The 800MTs are powered by KTM’s 70kW/88Nm parallel twin, a ride-by-wire throttle enabling both Sport and Rain riding modes.
The more expensive touring model adds tyre pressure monitoring, wire spoke wheels, a centrestand, quickshifter, handguards, bash plate and steering damper.
Just two colours are on offer, the Sport in black and the Touring in blue.
