It’s a good day for stick-shift enthusiasts as Ford has just announced the seventh-generation Mustang will be getting a manual transmission.
Ford teased social media followers with a short video announcing the “all-new 7th generation Ford Mustang” is coming and included a six-speed H-pattern illustration in the text, hinting at their plans for the car.
Ford also outlined their investment for the Flat Rock assembly plant in Michigan, USA where the new Mustang will be assembled.
With manufacturers increasing their focus on SUVs and electric vehicles, a manual option on a new car is a welcome sight to car lovers alike. Ford themselves have cut back on their car lineup due to lack of consumer interest, meaning this could be a last hoorah for the world’s best-selling sports coupe or at least, the manual option.
We can expect to see and hear more about the 2024 Ford Mustang later this year.
