Nissan’s latest two-seat Z has finally landed on the Australasian continent, bringing with it twin-turbocharged performance.
To celebrate the arrival of the highly-anticipated sports car, Nissan arranged a family reunion of sorts with the likes of the 240Z, 260Z, 280ZX, 300ZX, 350Z and 370Z taking to the streets of Sydney headed by the new limited-edition Nissan Z Proto Spec.
“This might be the first example of the all-new Z we see on local roads, but we’ll soon be seeing many more, with a new era of Z about to begin,” said Nissan Australia Managing Director, Adam Paterson.
The new Z is equipped with a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6, tripling power over the original 240Z at 298kW and 476Nm. A six-speed manual transmission or a nine-speed automatic transmission is available.
Autocar New Zealand staff are heading across the ditch later this month to get behind the wheel of the new Z.
We are yet to find out when the Z will arrive in New Zealand.
