The Marketing Association laid on an outstanding night for the 31st NZ Marketing Awards and over 900 people attended the event held at Spark Arena on September 14.
The Turners Team had a huge night winning the Excellence in Brand Transformation Strategy and Excellence in Consumer Products & Services Strategy awards before being awarded the NZ Marketing Supreme Award for 2022.
The team described hearing the announcement as “a moment of stunned silence before we all went a little crazy!”
Greg Hedgepeth, Turners CEO, said he was “very proud of our marketing team for doing such an outstanding job on our ‘Tina from Turners’ brand campaign – and these awards are a testament to the quality of that work. And also very proud of the wider Blue team for getting in behind Tina and bringing home the results.”
The judges said Turners “delivered an outstanding marketing strategy that touched every aspect of the Turners business and delivered a truly significant transformation.”
They went on to add that the brand “aligned to the strategy throughout the customer experience and became a key part of the organisation’s DNA”.
Sean Wiggans, GM Marketing, commented “Judging the awards is not easy – the marketing efforts and resulting advertising that has been coming out recently has been world class. The Marketing Association ran a great process and delivered a fantastic event to celebrate the work.”
