Mazda is introducing an upgraded version of its MX-5 to New Zealand, with tuned suspension technology the main feature.
Drivers can expect better cornering characteristics from their roadster with Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) now featuring on all models.
The system is designed to provide more stability when turning at a high speed by applying slight braking force to the inside rear wheel.
In doing so, KPC is said to pull down on the inner wheel in order to suppress body roll. It is only activated during high-g situations meaning everyday driving isn’t affected.
Better yet, the system doesn’t add any weight to the famously light sportscar as it is purely a software enhancement.
A new colour option is also available for MX-5 customers with Platinum Quartz Metallic now adding to the current seven finishes.
The GT grade has also returned to the soft-top model with 17-inch BBS forged alloys, Bilsten shocks, Brembo front brakes, front strut brace, and gloss black mirrors now featuring.
Pricing for the Mazda MX-5 Roadster GT starts at $57,590 and is now available from dealerships nationwide.
