An updated version of the Opel Mokka-e, which is now referred to as the Mokka Electric, has been unveiled today with the model receiving more driving range thanks to a bigger battery.
The new 54kWh battery is said to provide the electric SUV with 406km of range, 43km more than the current model, while energy consumption has also decreased to 15.2kWh per 100km.
Charging takes approximately 30 minutes from 0 to 80 per cent when using a 100kW DC charger.
It also gets a bump in power to 115kW while torque remains at 260Nm, allowing the Mokka Electric to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in just under 10 seconds.
Another change to the model is its name with Opel dropping the “e” in favour of the “Electric” suffix.
Nothing has been changed on the interior or exterior other than what look to be new fully black wheels.
The updated electric Mokka has yet to be confirmed for New Zealand but it’s likely we’ll see the changes soon.
