The Ford Everest SUV range is expanding with two new models, the Everest Sport which gains the twin-turbo 2.0 powertrain option and is on sale now for $77,990, and the $84,490 Everest Wildtrak, due in July 2023.
The Wildtrak is the middle offering of the V6 Everest trio, and features special exterior and interior detailing and finishes, added technologies, and a full suite of driver assistance systems. As with Ranger, the Wildtrak edition of Everest blends tough ute credentials with family-friendly comforts, offering customers a vehicle that can master everyday challenges and adventures, all with additional style and off-road ability.
The exterior of the Wildtrack delivers sporty sophistication and can be distinguished from the rest of the range by an exclusive Luxe Yellow colour.
Up front are a unique grille and bumper giving a dynamic look that’s in keeping with 20-inch alloys finished in Bolder Grey detailing. The bumper H-bar, grille surround, wheel lip mouldings, fender vents and mirror caps also are finished in Bolder Grey. Side steps feature steel inserts, while the alloy stand-off roof rails add a practical element for touring adventures. Wildtrak logos are found on the front doors, tailgate, and bonnet/hood.
The Wildtrak cabin features partial leather upholstery while front seat occupants get power adjusted seats with heating and cooling functions, along with Wildtrak logos in Cyber Orange stitching. The ebony leather and Miko-sueded seat trim and contrast stitching are also found on the rear seats and centre armrest, while Cyber Orange stitching features on the instrument panel, doors, dash and e-shifter.
Other standard items include a 12.4-inch digital instrument and a portrait-oriented 12-inch touchscreen controlling Ford’s SYNC 4A infotainment system. Tunes are replayed through a ten-speaker stereo set-up. There’s wireless device charging and the infotainment system supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Rounding out the Wildtrak is a braked towing capability of 3500kg.
Meantime, the addition of the 2.0L Bi-Turbo powertrain provides the Everest Sport customer with the choice of two engines.
Kicking off the range is Everest Trend Bi-Turbo ($71,990) while Everest Sport Bi-Turbo adds $6k ($77,990). The three V6 models range in price from $81,490 for the Everest Sport V6 to $86,990 for the range-topping Platinum while the Everest Wildtrak slots in between at $84,490.
