MG is set to unveil its new fully electric EX4 concept at the fast-approaching Goodwood Festival of Speed later this month, taking inspiration from the Metro 6R4 Group B rally car.
From the few shadowy images we are shown, it’s safe to say that this thing looks wild thanks to its all-new bodywork and unapologetically green theme.
The front end now has a bit more of a chin in the form of a huge splitter which is mirrored at the back by an extremely large rear wing, while its fenders have been pumped to house wider wheels.
Inside, we can make out a bright green roll cage, two bucket seats, and what is likely a stripped-out interior.
MG adds that it clad the EX4 in a distinctive livery that has been designed specifically for Goodwood and to celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Metro 6R4.
Underpinning the concept is the same dual electric motor drivetrain found in the MG4 XPower, giving it a total output of 320kW and 600Nm of torque. The EX4 should be able to hit 100km/h from a standstill in 3.8 seconds.
The MG EX4 will be on display from Thursday, 13 July in the First Glance paddock at the 2023 Goodwood Festival of Speed.
