Hyundai New Zealand is today welcoming a new top-of-the-range Santa Fe to its line-up in the form of the luxuriously appointed Calligraphy variant.
The new model is based on the previous generation Santa Fe and will be offered in limited numbers at just under $100k, with expressions of interest being taken now.
With that being said, the Calligraphy features a few key exterior enhancements such as a dark chrome grille and exclusive 20-inch alloy wheels.
The interior has been clad in “premium materials ” like black Nappa leather upholstery, which can be found on the seats and steering wheel. Each door panel is also clad in Nappa leather but with a quilted appearance, while the headliner is made from Eco-suede.
Hyundai has equipped its top SUV with the latest technology, including a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen with a navigation system, as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity.
In terms of safety features, the Santa Fe Calligraphy comes with blind spot monitoring and a surround-view monitor.
Just one engine is offered with the new model, that being the 2.2-litre four-cylinder diesel making 148kW and 440Nm of torque, connected to Hyundai’s HTRAC all-wheel drive system. Such power enables the top-of-the-range variant to tow up to 2500kg braked.
“The introduction of the Santa Fe Calligraphy represents a significant milestone in our commitment to delivering premium vehicles to the New Zealand market,” says Andy Sinclair, CEO of Hyundai New Zealand.
“With its exclusive features, refined interior, and advanced technology, the Calligraphy variant is set to redefine the standards of luxury for the Santa Fe range.”
The first examples of the Hyundai Santa Fe Calligraphy are expected to arrive in local showrooms in October 2023 and will go on sale for $94,990 with a Clean Car fee of $2702.50.
