The BMW X2 has officially been teased for the third time in two weeks, only this time in M35i xDrive form.
We’ll get to see the full thing on October 11, but until then, the German carmaker has shown off a few more angles of its new SUV which features a whole lot of M badges.
The M35i xDrive will of course be the top-of-the-range X2 when it launches, in addition to the fully electric iX2 which we expect to be revealed alongside its petrol-powered sibling.
In the latest teaser, we’re shown a few new angles of the SUV’s front grille which features an illuminated outline as seen on the XM and i5.
Elsewhere, there’s new footage of the X2’s M-badged brake calipers and wheels, flicked-up rear wing, wing mirrors, and rear diffuser.
Prior to the new teaser, images of the new model’s coupe-like silhouette have been teased, setting it apart from the SUV-bodied X1 which shares the same underpinnings.
Speaking of which, the X2 M35i xDrive will feature the same powertrain as the X1, meaning it gets a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder mated to an all-wheel drive system.
While technical and performance figures are still under wraps, BMW confirmed that the model will produce 221kW and be able to accelerate from 0 to 100km/h in 5.4 seconds.
We don’t have long to wait until the covers come off the BMW X2 M35i xDrive, with a reveal date set for 11 October 2023.
