Korean carmaker Hyundai has just pulled the covers off its newly redesigned Tucson, which now wears a sensible face and gets a refreshed interior.
To start things off, the most drastic change appears up front thanks to a new grille that features blockier driving lights, appearing above a more angular bumper with a distinct skid plate.
Changes have also been made to the rear end, with the enlarged skid plates now being integrated into the bumper moulding. A set of redesigned alloy wheels also joins the model’s new kit.
Inside, the driver’s digital gauge cluster and central infotainment touchscreen have been integrated into one seamless pane. In addition, the driver has been given a new three-spoke steering wheel, while the air conditioning controls have also been redesigned in a much more simple layout with dials.
Hyundai hasn’t said whether any changes have been made to the Tucson’s powertrain offerings, which currently consist of a 2.0-litre petrol engine, as well as a 1.6-litre petrol and diesel in our market.
The updated Tucson will make its debut in Europe in early 2024, while local availability has yet to be announced by Hyundai New Zealand.
