Geneva Finance has announced that independent director David Smale has resigned from the role, effective from March 31, 2024.
Before Smale became the independent director in September 2023, he was the company’s Chairman from September 2008 to June 2020.
“The board wishes to thank David for his support and assistance in his capacity as an independent director over the last seven months and again acknowledge his earlier years of service to the business,” Geneva Finance said in a statement.
The finance firm says that it’s currently in the process of confirming Smale’s replacement which it says will be finalised before his departure.
