The Morgan Plus Four, a car that dates back to the 1960s, has undergone a refresh for another era. It has been 70 years in the making.
Each is handmade, the aluminium body formed over a wooden mold, and married to an aluminium platform. It features the latest braking, suspension, and electronic systems.
The new Plus Four, the company’s longest running nameplate, is the “purest expression of the four-wheeled Morgan sports car available”.

The design intent for new Plus Four was to simplify the lines, and purify the silhouette. The front and rear views are characterised by the introduction of new lighting, wings, front splitter, rear diffuser, and floating front and rear number plate plinths. These changes produce a “refreshed visual identity and a cleaner overall appearance”.
The new front and rear lights were conceived by the company’s in-house design and engineering teams, enhancing the car’s timeless appeal. The eight-inch headlights incorporate the front indicators, as do the rear lights, for a cleaner look. Both front and rear lights emit more powerful beams for improved safety.
The front and rear wings on the new Plus Four are reformed and constructed using a cold-forming technique. They feature a greater level of surfacing, adding tension and evoking a more sculpted look.
There’s also a new front splitter and a new rear diffuser, both finished in dark matte grey paint to reduce visibility and lift the visual weight of the car. Other new items include a fresh model badge, and restyled lightweight aluminium mirrors.
Plus Four prioritises driving feel and connection above performance figures. The car is available in manual and automatic transmission variants and is powered by a modern BMW 2.0 litre engine. New spring rates and re-valved dampers are just part of a suspension update. An optional Dynamic Handling Pack developed in conjunction with Nitron includes new springs with adjustable damping, as well as the addition of a rear antiroll bar. These are said to improve handling and driving feel.
For the occupants, there’s an enhanced Sennheiser audio system that uses additional speakers sited underneath both seats, and higher-specification drive units in the doors. New interior lighting features fade-in-fade-out technology.
The new Morgan Plus Four is available to order now, with the first models going into production in May. The warranty on Plus Four is three years, with the option to extend for a further 12 months.
