A 2021 Ford Mustang SM17 that was once owned by Scott McLaughlin is up for auction soon. To celebrate his three Supercar Championship wins, Ford Australia commissioned the Scott McLaughlin Limited Edition SM17 by Herrod Performance, of which 130 were made. Of those, 30 found their way to New Zealand, with this particular vehicle purchased by the McLaughlin family and used by Scott when he would visit home.

It is part of the Sunday Drive Christmas Classic and Performance Live auction. There is said to be over $2.5million worth of vehicles up for auction with bidding closing at 7pm on December 10.
Another motor with a well known past owner is a 2004 Bentley Continental GT that Sir Elton John once parked in this garage.
Apparently it is one of many Bentleys the musician has owned over the years and comes with full documentation proving its ownership by John.
Other lots include a 1987 BMW 635 CSI, 1981 Range Rover and a raft of American and Australian muscle. The cars can be viewed at Sunday Drive HQ in Penrose, Auckland from December 2nd.
