Skoda’s electric SUV will take on ‘Modern Solid’ styling cues first seen in Elroq when the facelift debuts next year.
The Enyaq is on track to receive a substantial facelift soon. Expect a heavily revised front end, which will be worn by both the standard Enyaq SUV and the lower flying Enyaq Coupe.
The major change to the Enyaq is a new slimmer illuminated ‘Tech-Deck Face’ grille panel. That will replace the current design, which closely resembles those seen on ICE-powered Superb and Kodiaq.
Skoda’s sales and marketing boss, Martin Jahn, commented “When Enyaq was introduced a couple years ago, the majority of our customers were still more traditional. Now we are moving into the more progressive customers that we need for this new phase, and the new design for the car.”
Expect also a new daytime running light design that wraps around onto the front wings. The traditional Skoda emblem will be replaced by simple lettering on the leading edge of the bonnet. A redesigned bumper incorporates matrix LED headlights.
Skoda reckons the new front end has improved airflow, and therefore range. The changes have also made the Enyaq Coupe the most aerodynamic model in Skoda’s line-up.
There will be new dark chrome accents and an Olive Green paint option exclusive to the Enyaq. Moreover, updates to the powertrains, interior materials and software are evidently part of the update.
Enyaq is the fourth best-selling EV in Europe. In October it was the most popular electric car in the EU.
Also due soon after is the Skoda Epiq, probably dotting down in 2026. This will be an important EV for the brand, a city-cnetric crossover expected to cost around 25,000 Euros (around £21,000 at the current exchange rate).
Following that, Skoda’s seven-seat, flagship electric SUV should debut. The design will be based on the Vision 7S concept and as yet is unnamed.
Also, Skoda is working on a pure-electric estate, which at 4.6 metres long will serve as the zero-emissions alternative to the Octavia load hauler. Its release is delayed, and now it is probably launching in 2027.
