Fiat’s performance division Abarth has released the first teaser of the most powerful car it has ever created, the fully electric 600e.
In comparison to its tame Fiat equivalent, the Abarth gains a ‘Hypnotic Purple’ launch colour, aggressive front and rear spoilers, 20-inch wheels, and unique badging.
A more potent 179kW electric powertrain features, in addition to a mechanical limited-slip differential and tyres that have been co-developed with the same supplier for Formula E.
Nothing has been confirmed as far as range goes for the Abarth, but we do know that the Fiat features a 54kWh lithium-ion battery which is said to provide up to 400km and can be recharged with a 100kW fast charger.
Abarth decided to show the new model in Scorpionissima launch version guise first, its name being a reference to the brand’s historic scorpion logo. Just 1949 units of this edition will be produced in total.
The standard 600e, which is currently in its final stage of testing, will be fully revealed shortly ahead of its launch in late 2024 or early 2025.
