The 2024 Hyundai Santa Fe has officially landed in New Zealand, with the all-new model making its local debut at the NZ Golf Open in Queenstown this week.
Those in attendance will be among the first Kiwis to get a close-up view of the next-generation SUV, which boasts a bold new design and a petrol hybrid drivetrain.
This is also the largest Santa Fe ever created, measuring 4830mm long and 1900mm wide, with a wheelbase of 2815mm. Height comes to 1720-1780mm, depending on the variant.
Thanks to its size increase, there’s now more room inside in addition to a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and same-sized infotainment system running Hyundai’s new ccNC software.
Exact specification of locally offered models has yet to be confirmed, but Hyundai’s website shows both a hybrid and petrol model will be sold here.
“We are thrilled to introduce the latest Santa Fe at the New Zealand Open in Queenstown,” said Scott Kelsey, Chief Executive Officer at Hyundai New Zealand.
“There is no coincidence that New Zealanders love the Santa Fe with over 25,000 units sold in New Zealand since its launch in the year 2000.”
Pricing has yet to be announced for the new Santa Fe, but Hyundai New Zealand is currently accepting pre-orders for the model in the run-up to its arrival this May.
Kiwis will be able to get up close with the new model at the NZ Golf Open from today (held from February 29 to March 3, 2024), where they’ll also be able to register their interest and become some of the first people in the country to get behind the wheel.
