The Ayrburn Classic, a new luxury motoring event for Southern enthusiasts, is set down for the weekend of March 21st in Arrowtown.
Said to offer ‘an unforgettable celebration of automotive innovation and heritage’ the event will take place over Otago Anniversary Weekend in the grounds of Ayrburn.
Promoters promise an impressive display of ‘classic and modern luxury vehicles, with a festival vibe brought by live entertainment, fine dining, and immersive experiences’.
“We’re excited to introduce the Ayrburn Classic as a premier event on New Zealand’s calendar,” says Chris Meehan, founder and CEO of Ayrburn’s owner, Winton. “This festival will not only feature the best of local and global classic and luxury motoring scene, but also world-class dining and live entertainment, all set within the breathtaking grounds of Ayrburn.”
Drawing inspiration from international motoring events in the UK and USA, the Classic is said to bring together ‘the world of automotive excellence with luxury hospitality’.
The Ayrburn Classic will showcase a range of classic, vintage and modern luxury cars. A highlight is said to be the Showcase on the Dell, where the ‘most captivating cars on show’ will complete a parade lap before being presented on stage.
Attendees will experience ‘a range of exhibits and activations that bring the world of motoring to life’. A special tribute to New Zealand’s motoring heritage, the Kiwi Pioneers segment will celebrate the country’s rich automotive history and contribution to the international industry.
Attendees will be able to enjoy live music (including country singer-songwriter Miranda Easten, a DeLorean owner too) and DJ sets throughout the weekend, alongside dining experiences and wine tastings from Ayrburn’s restaurants, bars, and food trucks.
