Opel New Zealand is offering Kiwis a way to beat the recent rise in fuel prices by giving away a year’s worth of free fuel with every vehicle sold in July that has an internal combustion engine.
Over the weekend, the price of petrol shot up by about 29 cents after the Government reintroduced the full fuel excise duty which saw 91 octane reach over $3 per litre in some areas.
To combat this, Opel NZ will give anyone who purchases a new Astra, Grandland, Corsa or Mokka fitted with a petrol engine enough MTA Fuel Vouchers to fill their chosen model up for one year.
That means the Astra SRi will come with $2000 worth of fuel vouchers, the Grandland SRi with $2120, Corsa SRi with $2040, and the Mokka SRi with $2230.
Opel NZ says it calculated each model’s respective cost to fill up based on 14,000km of use per year.
The offer will end at the end of July 2023.
