BYD Auto has increased the price of its recently introduced Atto 3 electric SUV in New Zealand, coming into effect on October 1.
When the entry-level 50kWh battery Atto 3 entered the market, it originally sold for $52,900. The new price is $55,490.
Regarding the 60kWh battery Extended variant, that model was priced at $57,990 and is now $59,990.
The model has proven popular amongst Kiwi buyers with the brand surpassing the 500 unit sale mark in September. It went on sale two months earlier. It was also the second best-selling EV in the country last month.
It isn’t just seeing success locally either with the Chinese brand selling 174,915 EVs across the globe in August alone. Of that, 18,625 sales were of the Atto 3.
