BYD New Zealand has announced it will be opening four new dealerships before the end of 2022, with a further five to open in the next six months.
The first of the four new locations is Brent Boddy Prestige on Takaro Street, Palmerston North, while Automarque BYD in Lower Hutt rounds out the brand’s lower North Island presence.
Two new BYD showrooms from Andrew Simms will open in both Botany and Dunedin with an experience store set to open in Botany Town Centre, Auckland. Another placement will open in Wall Street Mall in Dunedin.
“With the success of BYD’s Atto 3 sales in New Zealand so far, phase two expansion of the Network is very timely for us,” says Warren Willmot, BYD New Zealand Brand Manager.
“Our five current showrooms have been exceptionally busy since the BYD Atto 3 launched in June 2022, with enquiry from all over New Zealand.
“Prospective buyers will be pleased to learn new BYD Showrooms will be opening in a main centre close to them soon.”
After the aforementioned locations open this year, the next round of BYD dealerships are expected to open before March, 2023.
These include Northland BYD represented by Keith Andrews in Whangarei, Hawkes Bay-based Bayswater BYD which will open locations in both Hastings and Napier, and a BYD service centre in Queenstown.
