Chris Stephenson has today announced that he will resign from the Chairman role at the Imported Motor Vehicle Industry Association (VIA).
He advised that his departure from the VIA Board was due to having a full workload in terms of both professional and personal commitments, reportedly feeling he was no longer able to commit time to the role.
Taking his place is Frank Willet, who was elected by the Board to take over the position of Chair until the annual general meeting later this year. The Board will then decide on who will step into the role permanently.
In an alert sent out by the Association, the Board, along with VIA’s staff and members thanked Stephenson for his two years of hard work and effort.
“Chris’s leadership was instrumental in getting the VIA restructure through the change period, and overseeing its bedding in,” says VIA.
