The GMC Yukon Denali has officially debuted in Australia and New Zealand. It marks the introduction of the GMC brand to these markets through General Motors Specialty Vehicles (GMSV).

GMC, a long-established American brand, is bringing its flagship SUV to a new audience.
The Yukon Denali is the first model to undergo right-hand drive conversion at GMSV’s dedicated facility in Dandenong, Victoria. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in May of this year.
Positioned between Chevrolet and Cadillac, GMC offers vehicles that combine heavy duty capability with upmarket features.

Its 313kW/624Nm 6.2-litre EcoTec3 V8 engine (featuring displacement on demand) is paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Power is processed by an Active Response 4WD system. The 5.3m vehicle offers robust towing capacity exceeding 3.5 tonnes and accomplished off-road performance. Contributing are an electronic limited-slip differential and a two-speed transfer case with 2WD HI, 4WD Auto, 4WD HI and 4WD LOW. Special features include air suspension and Magnetic Ride Control.

A premium eight-seat SUV, the Yukon Denali brings quality and technology to the large SUV segment. High-level features include a 16.8-inch GMC Premium Infotainment System with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There’s also a Bose 14-speaker surround sound system. A 15-inch multicolour head-up display, and dual 12.6-inch HD rear-seat entertainment screens complete the visual feast.
Other interior highlights include Denali-exclusive leather seats heated and ventilated up front and heated in the second row. There’s also authentic wood trim, a panoramic sunroof, and a configurable centre console. There’s said to be 3480L of cargo space with rear rows of seats stowed away.

Outside, the Yukon Denali features chrome detailing, full LED lighting, and 24-inch machined wheels. Safety and driver-assist features include adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert, lane keep assist, a 360-degree camera, rear pedestrian alert, and a large head-up display.
Priced from $NZ184,990 NZD, the Yukon Denali is designed to fill a niche in the Australasian market for a high-performance, luxury, full-size SUV with best-in-class towing, cutting-edge technology, and ample space for families. According to GMSV Managing Director Jess Bala, it represents a unique offering with the perfect blend of performance, practicality, and luxury. She adds that it is an ideal vehicle to launch the GMC brand in the region.
