Terramar is based on the VW Tiguan but with Cupra-specific styling, dynamics, powertrain options and pricing.

It will be available here in entry-level V 110kW and top-spec VZ 195kW variants soon. A V 4Drive 150kW and V e-Hybrid 150kW are coming in the second quarter.

Terramar V gains a mild-hybrid version of the 250Nm, turbocharged 1.5 four cylinder to help lower fuel consumption to 5.8L/100km. The VZ gets the 195kW /400Nm 2.0-litre TFSI, AWD and returns 8.8L/100km.

Pricing sees the Terramar ask more than its Volkswagen cousin, the V starting at $70,500, the VZ at $91,990.
The V 4Drive will be priced at $81,990 while the plug-in e-Hybrid will be $87,900. This delivers a combined 200kw and 400Nm from its engine/motor set-up
With a 20kWh battery it has around 112km of engine-off range. Cupra’s European data suggests consumption of 0.5L/100km on the WLTP test, while also stating between 5.7 and 6.1L/100km on Charge Sustaining Mode, i.e., when it’s running as a hybrid as opposed to full electric.
