Something is cooking at Subaru, with the carmaker teasing what could very well be the next iteration of the Forester.
The American arm of the brand recently took to social media to give us a glimpse of the new model which it says has been “newly redesigned”, suggesting an update has been made to a familiar nameplate.
Although Subaru didn’t give us much to work with as far as the teaser goes, we’re led to believe this is the new Forester considering it’s been a while since a new version of the model was launched – not since 2018 to be exact.
When you take into account that past generations of the crossover SUV usually last around four to five years, a refresh starts to make sense.
So, what can we expect other than a set of shiny new wheels? Well, we’re told it’ll be loaded with new technology and upgraded safety features, but what’s under that bonnet remains a mystery.
While a fully electric drivetrain is possible, we’d personally put our money on the model featuring Subaru’s naturally aspirated 2.5-litre flat four-cylinder or turbocharged 2.4-litre, with either being mated to an all-wheel drive system.
While we’d love to tell you more, all that is left to say is to mark your calendars for November 16 which is when the covers are set to come off the new Subaru at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
