Thousands of Ford vehicles in the US may be parked up due to missing one small but significant component, their blue-oval badge, due to a supply shortage.
Models like the Ford F-150 pick-up are among the affected vehicles with the brand admitting that between 40,000 to 45,000 units could end up parked outside factories in October due to the shortage.
Deliveries of vehicles have already been delayed as a result with the wait looking to extend into next month if not longer.
According to Drive.com.au, the shortage is linked to a slow down in production at a component company called Tribar.
There’s good news for Ford Ranger and Everest production though as the problem only seems to be affecting US vehicles.
