Giltrap Group is all set to open the doors to its new showroom in Christchurch this weekend and will celebrate the occasion with a free-to-attend “supercar style” event.
The new facility, located at 491 Waterloo Road in Islington, is home to the Polestar Christchurch Handover and Test Drive centre, a certified service centre for Bentley, and will offer a range of used luxury vehicles and supercars.
Upon fitting out the dealership, Giltrap Group took inspiration from its Grey Lynn premises in Auckland which you may or may not already be familiar with. If not, the building at 119 Great North Road is host to Aston Martin, Bentley, and Lamborghini, as well as being the venue for the Starship Supercar Show. So it’s safe to say Giltrap Christchurch will be the main attraction for many enthusiastic car folks down south.
“Our passionate customer base in Canterbury and across the South Island made this facility a must for Giltrap Group,” says Giltrap Christchurch General Manager Jarrod Clarke.
“There is no question that the South Island boasts the world’s best driving roads, so it is fantastic to be able to offer the highest possible level of service and support for our customers in Christchurch along with those coming to experience the magic of driving the best cars on the best roads.”
To celebrate its grand opening, Giltrap Christchurch is inviting enthusiasts to get up close and personal with a range of supercars at the South Island’s first-ever Cafe 66 event on Saturday, 4 November 2023, from 9 am to 12 pm.
Polestar Christchurch, the brand upon which the new dealership is centred around, will also be on hand to display its new Polestar 3 SUV alongside a range of Polestar 2 models.
“This is the best way to celebrate the official opening of Giltrap Christchurch, and after the sell-out success of the Starship Supercar Show, it only made sense to bring some of the magic to Christchurch,” added Clarke.
