Prior to its unveiling at the upcoming EICMA bike show, Moto Guzzi has released details of its new Stelvio adventure-tourer.
Named after the highest pass in Italy, the ADV is heavily based on the V100 Mandello and is said to be ready for light-duty offroading. It is therefore primarily a high-rise tourer, the extended suspension travel offering added on-road ride comfort. That leaves the V85 TT as the more off-road focused Guzzi.
Design is similar to that of the V100 and it is built on the same platform and shares that bike’s drivetrain. The Stelvio features 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheels, both wire spoked and shod in tubeless dual-purpose tyres. It comes with adjustable suspension front and rear.
Powering the soft roader is the same 1042cc liquid-cooled fuel-injected transverse “Compact Block” V-twin engine as the V100 Mandello uses. With 86kW and 115Nm of torque, the new Stelvio should deliver decent and easily accessible performance. Safety items include cornering ABS and traction control, and five adjustable riding modes configurable through the five-inch full-color TFT display.
An option is Moto Guzzi’s PFF (Piaggio Fast Forward) Rider Assistance Solution. This uses 4D Imaging Radar technology for collision detection, blind spot monitoring and adaptive cruise control.
Factory accessories include a heated seat, a 52-litre top box for extended trips, and panniers that integrate seamlessly into the bike’s frame. Expect a choice of two colourways.
Further details, including full specification and pricing, will be available at the official EICMA 2023 launch.
