The renewed Haval Jolion range has arrived in New Zealand. It continues to be offered in petrol and hybrid formats, as reported last week. Now pricing is to hand and the range kicks off at $28,990 plus on roads for the Jolion Premium Petrol.
Updates include a refreshed grille, new front bumper with black accents, and restyled rear bumper distinguishing it from its predecessor. Driver ergonomics also improve with the introduction of a four-way adjustable steering column.
The Jolion petrol line-up comprises two FWD grades, Premium and Luxury ($31,990 plus on roads). It features a 105kW/210Nm 1.5L turbopetrol engine with seven-speed DCT. The combined fuel consumption figure is a claimed 8.1L/100km.
The Hybrid undergoes a more significant update. It is based on a new model that shares the same Jolion platform and hybrid powertrain as the outgoing model but with a fresh exterior design. The shape is more dynamic and sporty than before, with new front and rear end designs. There’s also a multilink rear suspension set-up for an improved driving experience. All models now wear a larger GWM badge on the middle of the tailgate.
The Hybrid Jolion is available in three grades, spanning the price range from $34,990 (Premium Hybrid) to $40,990 (Ultra Hybrid) plus ORCs. The intermediate Lux Hybrid model costs $37,990 plus on roads.
Available with a 1.5L petrol hybrid engine and dedicated hybrid transmission, the combined output is 140kW and 375Nm. It is said to consume fuel at a mean rate of 5.1L/100km.
