The highly-limited Subaru WRX AKA has officially arrived on our shores and it’s already proving to be a hit amongst buyers.
Just ten examples of this very red model variant will ever be made and sold worldwide, with New Zealand getting the lot.
Some of its special appointments include a whole host of STI additions like a body kit, strut brace, sport mesh grille, sport bucket seats, 18-inch alloy wheels and more.
You’ll have to be quick to choose what your preferred gearbox is though, as five WRX AKAs will come equipped with a six-speed manual transmission, while the remaining half get an automatic.
No matter what gearbox you go for, they will both be mated to a 2.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder boxer making 200kW.
As for the AKA nameplate itself, it quite simply means ‘red’ and is derived from the Japanese script of Kanji. We can see why this highly-limited Subaru wears such a name too, considering it’ll only be offered in that colour.
Pricing for the highly-limited Subaru WRX 2.4T AKA is at $59,990, with orders being taken now.
