Honda Australia has just announced the launch of its facelifted Civic which will dot down here first thing next year.
Updates include the latest new technology features and more standard equipment, including Google built-in and next-generation Honda Connect. Expect greater comfort and added visual appeal too.
The 2025 Civic will be available in a pair of e:HEV hybrid variants.
Honda Australia’s Vice President and Director, Ms. Carolyn McMahon said, “This newly updated Honda Civic delivers the sleek silhouette and sporty performance that our customers know and love …while also introducing innovative technology with Google built-in D64 as standard.”
The design concept for the refreshed Civic is enhanced sportiness, featuring a redesigned front bumper and body coloured lower headlamp garnishes. New 18″ alloy wheels impart a more athletic stance.
Powering the refreshed Civic e:HEV lineup is a 2.0L Direct Injection engine and two-motor Hybrid system. Combined output is 135kW of power and 315Nm of torque. Engineers designed Civic for engaging levels of performance, dynamic response and feedback.
Selectable drive modes mean the driver can customise throttle response and fuel efficiency according to preference and driving conditions. Civic features Normal mode for a balance between economy and performance. Econ mode reduces throttle and transmission sensitivity as well as air conditioning output for optimum fuel efficiency.
And Sport mode enhances throttle response, steering feel and engine sound. The gauges gain a red accent while in Sport mode. There’s also an Individual mode in which the driver selects engine responsiveness, steering feel and the look of the gauges according to their mood.
Google built-in D64 is a new Civic feature which includes Google Assistant, Google Maps and the latest apps and services on Google Play. Seamless integration of navigation and live traffic updates are also part of the Google built-in D64 experience.
The latest generation of Honda Connect D48 features a new user-friendly, refreshed Connected App interface, and an improved response time.
New Civic features updated active and passive safety technology including Honda SENSING, safety and driver-assistive technology made possible by improved front camera software.
