Honda New Zealand has released the pricing and specifications for its new CR-V, with the model line-up starting from $53,000.
The local arm of the Japanese manufacturer quietly published the sixth-generation SUV on its website, which outlines a choice of three variants for Kiwis to choose from.
Honda starts off the line-up CR-V Sport AWD, which features a 1.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder with V-TEC, making 140kW and 240Nm of torque, mated to an automatic CVT gearbox and an all-wheel drive system. The entry-level variant is priced at $53,000 plus $3768 in on-road costs which includes a Clean Car Discount fee.
In addition, the Sport AWD comes with five leather seats, wireless Apple CarPlay and device charging, 18-inch alloy wheels, as well as Honda’s Sensing and Connect systems.
Next up is the CR-V Sport 7 which features much the same get-up as the entry-level model but with seven leather seats and a panoramic sunroof. The mid-range model is priced from $57,000 plus $3653 in on-road costs/fees.
Sitting at the top of the range is the CR-V RS which features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder hybrid drivetrain that makes 135kW and 335Nm of torque, sending power through an automatic e-CVT gearbox to two wheels. Pricing for the highly specified variant comes to $67,000 plus $950 in on-road costs/fees.
The RS also gets a panoramic sunroof, larger diameter 19-inch alloy wheels, wireless Apple CarPlay and device charging, as well as Honda’s Sensing and Connect systems.
