Honda New Zealand has recently warned of a fake employment offer scam circulating the brand’s various communication channels which scammers are using in an effort to obtain information like bank account details.
The company’s name and logo is being used illegally on letters and documents, websites, and employment advertisements to trick people into thinking they are legitimate.
Information contained within these mediums include email or website addresses using the word “Honda” in them, use of actual Honda address locations, and Honda employee names and forged signatures.
The fraudulent employment scams are being used to access payments, personal information and bank account details.
Honda NZ says that any concerns regarding the authenticity of a job offer should be submitted to [email protected] along with a copy of said offer or their website’s careers page.
