Following the reveal of the Z Nismo earlier this week, Nissan New Zealand has confirmed that the model will be sold locally.
Pricing and specification of the hotted-up model have yet to be confirmed, but it’s expected to arrive in late 2023 or early 2024 based on information from our Australian cousins.
What we do know is that the Z Nismo won’t be offered with a manual transmission, which may or may not be to some enthusiasts’ disappointment. Instead, all models will be fitted with a nine-speed automatic.
Under the bonnet sits an upgraded version of the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged V6 which now makes 313kW and 521Nm of torque, which is 15kW and 46Nm more than the standard Z.
By far the most drastic change on the Nismo is its red-highlighted bodywork, ‘G-Nose’ front bumper, and larger rear lip spoiler.
A touch of red has also been applied inside too, with the vivid colour now appearing on the car’s digital gauge cluster, start/stop button, and upholstery stitching.
Other changes to the new Nissan include new anti-roll bars, a stiffer spring rate, retuned dampers, bigger brakes, and more.
