Kiwis are now able to get behind the wheel of their favourite supercar thanks to the new Motorshare subscription service which launched this week.
The platform allows members to choose from a range of plans which can be paid for monthly or yearly, granting them access to three performance cars for a period of 10, 20 or 30 days depending on the chosen plan.
Motorshare currently only offers the Porsche Cayman GT4, Audi R8 and Mercedes AMG GT but no doubt plans to add more to its fleet in time.
The 10 day or 1000km plan is priced at $299 per month and ranges up to $649 a month for 30 days or 3000km of driving.
Once a plan has been selected, members will then meet the Motorshare team and take one of the aforementioned vehicle’s for a test drive. Members will then be able to book the days they want to hire a car in advance before pick-up day.
Co-Founder and Director James Punnett says Motorshare car club is an exciting first for the New Zealand sports car rental market with its new offering for customers who are looking for a different and easier way to drive luxury sports vehicles as well as attend fun events.
“Co-Founder Chris and I both love to drive sports cars but not wanting capital tied up in one, or trying to rent one on a casual basis in New Zealand is almost impossible,” he says.
“So, we developed Motorshare as an innovative car club with a shared asset platform created specifically for anyone that wants to experience the thrill of great sports cars on an easy, flexible, subscription basis.”
