Images of what appear to be the successor to the Lamborghini Aventador have appeared online showing the model in undisguised form.
We’ve been eagerly awaiting the unknown model after being drip fed spy shots of the car in camouflage over the past few months.
Today marks our first glimpse of the model thanks to Instagram user @bradyv12awesome who posted what look to be computer generated images of the car, possibly in an online configurator.
What we see is a front end heavily inspired by the Sian with Y-shaped headlights, a motif also repeated at the rear, as well as distinct angular body panels found on Lamborghini models from the past and present.
Sizeable side air intake span from the room to the floor of the car which leads us to the back where we can find a high-mounted twin exhaust set up, funneling plenty of good noises from its V12 heart.
That brings us to what’s under the skin as it has already been confirmed the model will receive a naturally aspirated V12 assisted by a hybrid system.
As for power figures and technical specifications, we’re still in the dark on that one but it will likely deliver more than the 574kW and 720Nm output of the outgoing Aventador.
It’s about time we saw a successor to the aforementioned model considering the Aventador has been on sale for the past 11 years, up until production ended in September last year.
In that time, approximately 11,465 examples were made with the the car going through eight variants such as the S, SV, and SVJ.
Reports suggest the new model will be revealed at the end of March.
