Lego has added a Chevrolet Corvette Stingray to its Technic range.
It’s on a smaller scale this one, the 732-piece set building a Corvette that is 80mm high, 270mm long and 140cm wide. It’s not yet available in stores, but you can order online now for delivery in March at a cost of $109.99.
Once constructed the kids can open the engine cover to see the pistons pumping away in the V8 engine, there is a differential with moving parts too. The doors open and the steering can be operated via a knob on top of the roof. The cover for the frunk opens also.

Lego says its Technic cars feature ‘realistic movement to introduce young Lego builders to the universe of engineering’. And while the firm says the set ‘makes a great gift for kids who love Lego vehicle toys’, surely it’s also a kit for big kids of all ages.
