Lexus New Zealand has issued a recall for 1064 vehicles over a potential fire risk on a range of models due to an problem with the fuel tank vent tube.
Affected models include IS, GS, and RC models made between January 2012 and August 2018.
The brand says that the recall is a precautionary measure in which it needs to inspect and, if necessary, replace the fuel tank vent tube.
Lexus Dealers will offer the replacement of the vent tube free of charge to customers if required which will take approximately two hours to complete.

Across the ditch, the same recall has been issued by Lexus Australia for 14,301 vehicles which experience the same problem.
