Kiwi Liam Lawson, Max Verstappen’s new teammate at Red Bull, has spent day one with his new team. Not that he is any stranger to Red Bull Racing. He joined the team in 2019, and between 2022 and 2024 he was a reserve driver at RB.
However, things would have been quite different for him when entering the Red Bull Technology Campus for the first time as a Red Bull driver. He recently fronted at Milton Keynes to prepare for the upcoming Formula One season.
Red Bull heads are clearly confident that Lawson has what it takes to drive well for the Austrian team. Helmut Marko give the New Zealander an important tip. He said that the new Red Bull driver should accept his position as junior teammate and not try to beat Verstappen, the champ.
Prior to leaving New Zealand, Lawson was spotted several times at a local gym, arriving in some class wheels.
