While the regular Cadillac Lyriq is still yet to launch in NZ, the US luxury maker has announced the Lyriq-V is headed here as well. However, it won’t dot down until early 2026, with pricing and final specifications still TBA.
It’s the brand’s first electric V-series model. Apparently “Lyriq-V is not merely a sporty drive; it is a truly complete luxury vehicle with a multifaceted, iconic character and performance-driven features.”
Some of those include 458kW of power and 880Nm of torque. That allows Cadillac to claim an ‘estimated’ 0-60mph time of 3.3 seconds, which the company says makes it ‘the quickest Cadillac ever’. That’s in Velocity Max, a ‘driver-selectable feature that unleashes the vehicle’s full performance capability’ and with Launch Control activated. It’s impressive for a 5m long luxo SUV that is said to weigh 2713kg.

Other V-spec features include continuous damping control, lowered suspension and a quicker steering ratio. It will have a 102kWh NCMA battery and a range estimate of 460km.
There’s a V mode button to access your preferred set-up, while Competitive Mode ‘enables a suite of traction management features specifically engineered to increase vehicle agility’. Brembo stoppers are employed with 390mm rotors up front.
Visually, the V has a unique lower front fascia and side rockers, body-coloured lower trim, and available carbon fibre accents. Unique 22-inch wheels get a dark finish. The interior gets various V upgrades too.
“V-Series captures the spirit of Cadillac, embodying our relentless pursuit of engineering excellence through our racing and production vehicles,” said John Roth, vice president, Global Cadillac. “Lyriq-V takes this commitment a step further in the EV era, pushing our performance pedigree of V-Series to new heights with a powerful, personalized and high-tech driving experience that fits perfectly into our customers’ lives.”
