The second SUV from Maserati, the Grecale, is well on its way to New Zealand with arrival expected in the first quarter of 2023.
At a recent showcase of the luxury Italian brand’s new Fuoriserie customisation programme in Australia, it was announced that customers will soon be able to order it in GT, Modena and Trofeo trim levels.
Speculation on pricing has been ongoing for a while now but Maserati Australia and New Zealand reassure that pricing and specification are close to being finalised and will be released in the coming weeks.
“The all-new Maserati Grecale will represent the start of a significant roll-out of new product,” says Grant Barling, General Manager Maserati Australia & New Zealand.
The Grecale range starts with the GT as its most affordable model featuring a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine combined with 48V mild hybrid technology under the bonnet, producing 221kW and 450Nm.
Second in the range is the Modena which comes complete with the same powertrain but delivers a slight bump in power with 242kW and 450Nm.
Topping the range off is the Trofeo variant featuring Maserati’s very own Nettuno V6 engine which also powers the MC20 sports car, delivering 390kW and 620Nm.
“We envisage the Grecale quickly becoming a volume leader for us here in Australia and New Zealand, and look forward to sharing more details when appropriate,” says Barling.
