Mazda’s BT-50 utility range is being expanded with the addition of the Takami trim-level grade.
Mazda reckons that its Takami combines the ute’s versatility and rugged capability with that of the comfort and feature levels found in its current SUV and car range.
Positioned above the BT-50 Limited, the Takami uses a combination of black and grey exterior features to give it a more ‘sporty appeal’.
The Takami’s exterior features include dark grey roof rails, dark grey side-steps, grey front bumper and under garnish, a black grille, gloss black door handles and exterior mirrors, and 18-inch black metallic alloy wheels among other dark coloured additions.
A new grey exterior colour has also been introduced to the BT-50 range as well.
The interior comes fitted with heated front seats, a power adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-speaker audio system and adds khaki leather combined with black synthetic suede trim and seating.
Like the rest of the BT-50 range, the Takami features a 140kW, 450Nm 3.0-litre turbo diesel four-cylinder engine providing the ute with 3500kg of braked towing capability.
A variety of safety features like lane keep assist and lane departure warning also make an appearance on the model.
The Mazda BT-50 Takami is available from dealers now priced at $68,290 (including GST, plus on-road costs).
