More details about the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse have been revealed by the carmaker today, with the seventh-generation model receiving trick paintwork and an interior clad in “advanced” materials.
Starting with the exterior, Ford designers have finished the model in a deep blue pearlescent paint scheme combined with amber hues to create a colour shift in different lighting and angles.
Customers can also opt for vinyl or hand-painted stripes over the top of the car.
The vinyl graphics are placed over the top of the bonnet and ties into the black painted roof if the Appearance Package is selected.
As for the hand-painted stripe, the gloss black graphic spans from the bonnet vent, over the roof and onto the boot lid.
Once inside, an anodised blue, titanium manual shift knob will immediately stand out while 10-speed automatic optioned cars get the same coloured shift paddles instead.
A flat bottom steering wheel comes wrapped in suede while blue stitching can be found on the instrument and door panels, seats, shift boot, and centre console.
If the Appearance Package is selected, the standard seats will be replaced with Recaro performance seats wrapped in Dinamica suede and blue stitching.
Dark metallic gloss paint replaces the standard bright silver finishes on the interior trim in the Dark Horse too.
Other interior surfaces feature materials made to look like carbon fibre while the vehicle’s chassis number has been included on the instrument panel.
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse will hit showroom floors in the US mid-2023 with New Zealand deliveries expected later.
