The Ducati XDiavel returns for 2025, with a new look, improved electronics and V4 power.

Launched in 2016, the first XDiavel took the 1260 variant of the Diavel muscle bike, and cranked the allure even higher thanks to added flare and finishes.
For 2025 the XDiavel V4is even further differentiated from its progenitor. For it gets the new monocoque chassis along with the V4 engine transplanted into the Diavel two years ago.
While the look is certainly similar to that of Diavel V4, the XDiavel V4 is more windswept, and features a new headlight. The generous air intakes that snake towards the forks are replaced with smarter brushed aluminium shrouds either side.

And it’s a similar story from there back, many of the design features nipped and tucked, so it is more stylish than before. The forward-mounted control settings remain. However, mid-set foot controls are still an option for those wanting a more conventional or sportier riding position. A new seat promises better cruising comfort for two.
There’s more power too, XDiavel borrowing the 1158cc V4 Granturismo that first came to Diavel 24 months ago. In XDiavel it develops 168bhp (125kW) and peak torque of 128Nm, figures similar to those of Diavel V4. The engine displacement is greater than that of the Panigale V4, the same as in Multistrada V4 and Diavel V4. It drops the desmodromic valve gear of the Panigale mill. And in doing so it doesn’t rev as high but only requires valve clearance adjustments every 60,000km. Oil changes are at 15,000km intervals.
On the acceleration front, this has a Power Launch system and a 240 section rear tyres, so can scorch to 100 from stopped in under 3sec, according to Ducati. Given the V2 version could manage that without LC, the V4 should do it comfortably.

This too features rear cylinder deactivation, the rear bank taking time out at slow speeds. That also means less heat is transferred to the rider and passenger in town running.
The XDiavel V4 weighs 229kg dry, 6kg less than the 1260 model. Up front are 50mm fully adjustable forks, while a fully adjustable monoshock constitutes the rear suspension, acting via a single-sided swingarm. Brembo Stylema brakes clamp onto 330mm discs at the front.

An IMU-based safety system means cornering ABS and traction control. There’s a new full-colour 6.9-inch TFT screen with Bluetooth connectivity, and an up/down quickshifter. Four riding modes comprise Sport, Touring, Urban and Wet. Keeping things right side up are wheelie control and launch control, while cruise control adds convenience.
Expect the new XDiavel V4 here by midyear, available in Burning Red and Black Lava, both metallic. Pricing will be available at that time.
