There’s a new base model in Mazda’s CX-60 range dubbed SP grade, and priced at $69,990 plus ORCs. It features the 209kW/450Nm 3.3 litre six-cylinder petrol hybrid powertrain mated to an eight-speed automatic transmission and Mazda’s i-Active AWD system.
Standard items include leather seat trim (electrically adjustable and with front seat heating), black metallic 20-inch alloy wheels, and LED headlights.
Previously the least expensive offering was the CX-60 Touring PHEV at $73,490. However, that is being phased out for this new model. The SP Hybrid is due to arrive around Christmas.

Other standard features include gloss black exterior mirror caps and black chrome signature wing and honeycomb front grille. There’s also a powered tailgate, surround view mirror, and the seating personalisation system as standard.
The blackout styling theme offers a sportier presence to the range. There are multiple drive modes, and a 2500kg braked tow rating. The 48v mild hybrid system has a claimed mean fuel consumption figure of 7.9 l/100 km and CO 2 emissions of 178 g/km.
Move up to the $81,990 CX-60 Homura and you also get a premium Bose audio system, electric steering column adjustment, a heated steering wheel and rear seats, and an uprated Surround View Monitor (featuring See-Through View). The other additions comprise a panoramic glass sunroof and adaptive LED headlights. CX-60 Homura is available with the same mild hybrid IL6 powertrain as the SP or a 2.5L IL4-based plug-in hybrid system.
Headlining the range is the CX-60 Takami. Available only with the PHEV powertrain, CX-60 Takami ($84,990) adds white Nappa Leather upholstery with maple wood inserts throughout the cabin, and woven cloth with exposed stitching on the instrument panel inserts.
