Nissan Australia is extending its new vehicle warranty to 10-year/300,000km on all new vehicles sold from January 1 this year. While not yet confirmed for New Zealand, we’d expect this warranty extension to apply here at some point as well.
‘Nissan More’ extends to both private and commercial customers. It includes up to 10 years of roadside assistance and five years of flat-price servicing. That’s providing vehicle servicing is done within the Nissan network.
The offer applies to all new vehicles purchased on or after January 1, 2021, providing they have completed any scheduled services with Nissan.
Nissan says its flat-price servicing programme can save Australian owners up to $1145 over the five-year period, depending on the model. Service prices depend on vehicle size and price, essentially.
Nissan Oceania director of after sales, Michael Hill, said “In tough times and in a period where the new car market is full of mixed messages, Nissan Australia is putting our customers first.
“The new service-activated warranty is Australia’s only 10-year/300,000km warranty and is industry leading. It’s designed to deliver peace of mind to our customers. Peace of mind that Nissan has your back. Peace of mind that Nissan is with you for the long term.”
Nissan joins MG (10-years/250,000km) and Mitsubishi (10-years/200,000km) in offering 10 years of coverage.
Most Australian new car warranties nowadays are for five years/unlimited km.
“Our comprehensive Flat Price Servicing program is a direct response to customer feedback. We’ve listened and acted,” added Mr Hill.
“Customers can be assured their vehicle will be serviced by factory-trained technicians using only Nissan genuine parts – giving the best care for their car in the long term.
The warranty is fully transferable to the next owner, supporting resale value.
