Nissan New Zealand has put a price on the new Z, with the sports coupe set to arrive here later this year.
The Z, now packing a 3.0-litre twin-turbo V6 which produces 298kW and 475Nm will start at $84,990, and that’s regardless of what transmission you opt for, the six-speed manual or the new nine-speed auto.
For those that get in quick, the special edition Proto Spec, which will only be offered in Ikazuchi Yellow, is priced at $92,990. It features a bespoke interior and 19-inch bronze forged alloy wheels and yellow brake calipers. No word on how many are to be offered but will be available ‘until sold out’.
Its natural rival, the Toyota Supra, is officially listed as ‘arriving soon’, the MY2022 also bringing with it a new manual transmission option. The Supra, with 285kW and 500Nm previously sold for $99,290.
The Z is one of four new Nissan models due in the next six months and will be joined in the showroom soon by the new Qashqai, X-Trail and Pathfinder.
