We’ve only just met the 2025 Streetfighter V2 but now there’s a new V4 version as well.
Given this is derived from the latest Panigale V4, be not surprised it comes with the same engine, chassis and electronics package. So a nude Panigale V4 then? Well, kind of, for Ducati said that it is the first time it has transferred the whole shebang to its naked sib. It gets the same lightweighted V4 engine now sporting Euro5+ emissions compliance. Both also share the Ohlins Smart EC3.0 suspension and a new Race eCBS braking system. So this is just as track ready as the Panigale V4, only a bit breezier.
The engine tech shares much with the MotoGP donk. It features a 90-degree V4 with desmodromic valves, a counter-rotating crankshaft and Twin Pulse timing, so it even sounds similar to the winningest MotoGP machine.
Streetfighter V4 S stumps up with 214bhp at 13,500rpm (160kW), only a couple of ponies down on the Panigale V4. The torque figure is 120Nm at 11,250rpm. More power is available with the Akrapovic racing exhaust system. Variable-length intake trumpets bolster torque development.
A full-LED headlight is new, though it retains the dual-light feature. At the rear is another full LED, divided into two. A 16-litre tank is more elongated towards the rear than the previous model. The pillion seat positioning is lower than on the previous Streetfighter V4 as well.
Biplane wings have been a distinctive feature of the Streetfighter V4 but are now more effective, adding a further of 17kg of downforce at 267km/h.
On the latest Streetfighter V4 the handlebars move back 10mm closer to the rider, while the footpegs are lower and sited 10mm further inward.
Up front are Brembo Hypure brake callipers, offering increased braking performance over the previous range-topping Stylemas. They use four-piston callipers acting on two 320mm semi-floating discs. At the rear is a two-piston caliper and 245mm disc.
The Streetfighter V4 S comes with Ohlins suspension, comprising a NIX-30 fork and an Ohlins TTX 36 shock absorber. Both feature the Smart EC 3.0 control system. There’s also an Ohlins steering damper.
The standard V4 model has an Ohlins shock absorber at the rear, but at the front is a fully adjustable 43mm Showa Big Piston Fork.
Also new is the 6.9-inch dashboard which means enhanced readability. There are also updated safety systems, like Traction Control, Ducati Slide Control, Ducati Wheelie Control DVO, Ducati Power Launch DVO, Engine Brake Control and Ducati’s quickshifter 2.0 system.
Both models will go one sale next year, when pricing will also be announced.
